TrainThe main train station is approx. 2 km away from the CBD and walking distance to the Events Centre and Museum of Wellington City and Sea. There is a taxi stand and a major bus terminal in front of the station. PlaneWellington International Airport is around 8 kilometres by road south east of the city wellington-airport.co.nz. The quickest and simplest route is to follow the State Highway 1 signs which take you through the Mount Victoria Tunnel. The trip takes between 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day. Taxis from the airport to the city cost around $20-25, shuttles $12-15. The Stagecoach Flyer bus stop is located on the ground level, at the southern end of the terminal. It shuttles every 30min Mon-Fri and at least hourly on weekends. Adult fare $4.50 Where to stayThe Festival very much happens in Central Wellington.
