Springload's New Zealand International Arts Festival Web Site Heads Off Global Competition to Bring Home a Webby.
The Webby Awards, the leading international honour for Web sites, named the New Zealand International Arts Festival site as the Best Event Web Site of 2006. The winning site was produced by Wellington-based design company Springload.
Winners from around the world will be honoured at The Tenth Annual Webby Awards in New York City on June 12th.
Hailed as the "online Oscars" by Time Magazine, The Webby Awards are determined by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organisation with a membership that includes musician David Bowie, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, The Body Shop president Anita Roddick, "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, Real Networks CEO Rob Glaser, and fashion designer Max Azria.
Tiffany Shlain, founder and ambassador of The Webby Awards says that the Webby Awards honours the outstanding web sites that are setting the standards for the Internet.

The Tenth Annual Webby Awards received a record number of entries from over 40 countries.
